The RB Plus YLF family of diode pumped laser modules is an extension of our industry standard RB Plus YAG modules, of which thousands are reliably operating in the field. The RB Plus YLF is a second-generation module that includes new features that make it even easier to integrate and service. The RB Plus YLF diode-pumped laser module is offered at power levels up to 50W in a simple, compact and affordable package.
The RB Plus YLF is configurable with either a-axis or c-axis rods for 1047nm or 1053nm output. The flexibility of our module makes it ideal for a variety of applications where the inherent properties of Nd:YLF are most advantageous. The low degree of thermally induced lensing, strong natural birefringence and long upper state lifetime of Nd:YLF makes it superior for applications such as:
- Ti: Sapphire pumping
- Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV)
- Spectroscopy
- Applications needing high pulse energies at kHz rep rates
The pump module is maintenance-free and incorporates a Nd:YLF laser rod that is radially pumped with long-life laser diode bars. The RB Plus YLF module can be driven by low voltage electronics which makes integration, certification and dealing EMI/EMC a breeze. Cooling of the laser is accomplished with a simple recirculating, positive-displacement water chiller running on filtered water, eliminating the need for troublesome deionized water systems and central coolant systems. Combined with the eDrive™ drive controller, CEO® can offer our customers a complete system solution.
